Pirlie Hill has been running well in Banded stakes races of late and, along with all-weather scorer Blueberry Rhyme, has to be respected but this should go to Parkside Pursuit, who can take advantage of a favourable mark. The selection goes unpenalised for a win in an apprentices handicap at Goodwood last week and can actually race off a 3lb lower mark today than on that occasion so is difficult to oppose under the same rider as at Goodwood. Snow Bunting ran his best race for some time when a close third behind Highland Warrior here over six furlongs last time and is set to rise in future handicaps but may not be as effective over the minimum trip. Top weight Kangarilla Road is gradually slipping down the handicap and has to be respected along with David Chapman's Soaked and Ian Semple's Vijay but the vote goes to Parkside Pursuit, who is hard to oppose off his current mark.
