This looks a tight handicap but SILVERTON gets another opportunity to progress from her victory over the track and trip last month. Her two recent defeats have come over longer trips where she's been outstayed in the closing stages. She weakened quickly over 3m at Newcastle last time where Little Glenshee finished in front of her but this is her trip and she can get back to winning ways. No Deal has to be a threat as he was returning from a two-year absence when running well for a long way on his chasing debut here last month and had some smart form previously. Plus Jamais made a fair debut over fences here last month but blundered away his chances on a return visit a fortnight ago. Great Link suffered in the weights after landing a novices' handicap at Worcester in June and hasn't been in the best of form subsequently. The remaining pair have a bit to find, though neither can be dismissed.

Great Link 11-2 (11-12) Held up towards rear, in 5th and looking one pace when mistake and unseated rider 5 out when in 5th, in a race won by Rowdy Rocher (11-6) at Wetherby 2m 4f hcp chs 0-120 (4) sft in Jan, 7 ran.
