A wide-open handicap chase in which many can be given chances. Chevalier Bayard remains in good and consistent form and has to be given a chance here although is strictly held on form by Camp Hill when the latter was a winner here in December. Camp Hill found Man Murphy far too good last time and a return back to this company should see him go close. Allsonsilver had been threatening to win a race of this nature before disappointing last time, however that was over an inadequate trip and should go better over this stiffer test of stamina. Be Upstanding will only run if there is no overnight rain and will find it tough to give weight away after winning a weak contest at Fakenham last time. His stablemate Prince Highlight will also wait on the weather before taking part but looks to be better weighted and would be a danger if putting in a clear round.
