In depth

Verdict

The veteran Calivigny has won five times here and is on a very fair mark but prefers really testing ground. Grand Morning's third track victory in March came on heavy going so more rain would aid his cause but BIGBADMATTIE was impressive at Worcester. He's changed stables since scoring by eight lengths on his handicap debut and is up 13lb but looks the type to go on to better things. Foster'sisland went up 6lb for a comfortable victory at Kelso but followed up in similar fashion here last month for which he's been raised another 7lb. Lord Of Kerak was highly tried after scoring at Uttoxeter a year ago and has had wind surgery following a poor run in a Perth Listed contest in April while further rain would bring Serious Ego into the equation.
