Myklachi, successful over 2m at Newcastle, and IRON MIKE, a winner over 1m4f at Musselburgh, remain at the foot of the weights. The latter is clearly improving and preferred over this trip. True Romance won at Musselburgh and Catterick before failing to justify favouritism at Thirsk but steps up a grade for this. Firewater is likely to be thereabouts again and another course winner, Remember Rocky, is also running well. Sempre Presto has only won at Pontefract so far, however, and remains in the handicapper’s grip. Needs To Be Seen has his sights lowered and may prove the pick of the remainder.
