made all, pushed along 2f out, stayed on strongly final furlong
tracked leaders, not much room over 2f out, stayed on one pace to go 2nd close home
held up in rear, outpaced over 3f out, soon lost touch
A match to all intents and purposes between Gold History, Colour Wheel and Glaramara. The vote goes to the former after he caught the eye with an authorative success at Leicester on debut. Gold History does have plenty of decent American winners in his pedigree and while any extra rain would be a worry, he undoubtedly looks one to be on the right side of. Glaramara won a fair maiden at York although the third-placed Great Exhibition did let the form down earlier in the week. Colour Wheel should have no problems with the trip having taken an event over seven furlongs at Folkestone. He was all out to score on that day and on the official BHB figures, the handicapper did not appear too impressed with it. Indian Sapphire was well beaten in a Beverley maiden and looks to have very little chance even in such a small field. The mantle of our selection resting with Gold History to take first prize for Mark Johnston.
