In depth

Verdict

The Listed race that kicks-off the card will either boost or dampen the enthusiasm for the selection of Je Suis Belle, who makes plenty of appeal at the overnight stage. Favouring and Generous Option can give Barry Hills' charge the most to do, while Missperon, who was worried out of it in a 21-runner field at Doncaster last time, will appreciate the return to a smaller field today. Kevin Ryan's charge is definitely one to bear in mind for each-way players. Whereas Word Perfect has bit to find with Generous Option and makes limited appeal on these terms. Favouring will be seen to better effect now that he returns to a more appropriate trip and he could go close on ground that will suit him. However, Je Suis Belle edges the vote in terms of anticipated improvement and, considering her trainer's excellent strike-rate at this course, the Efisio filly, in our opinion, is the first and last one to look at.
