Verdict

UNGARO has an obvious chance at this level and is taken to get something out of what has been a frustrating season for his faithful supporters. Andrew Nick and Bagan can pick up the pieces if the selection fails to deliver the goods. Bagan has spent a long time in the doldrums since a victory at Warwick last year. Comparatively well treated at present, the Martin Todhunter-trained gelding is no forlorn hope to at least shake up the principles. Andrew Nick has been consistent and, as a proven stayer, he should be capable of a bold show. However, Ungaro has a touch of class about him and, having competed at a much higher level than this throughout his career, the 10-year-old is strongly fancied to prove he is capable of scoring in this grade.
