Caledonia Lady seems to respond to better opposition and her third in last week's Flying Childers was another cracking effort. She would be hard to beat in this lower grade if it could be guaranteed she'd run up to that form but Jo Hughes' filly has now had six runs without managing to get her head in front. PONTY ACCLAIM is much more reliable and it's Tim Easterby's charge that gets the vote here. She comfortably got the better of Kool Henry and Signifer in a conditions race at Ripon last month and meets that pair on more favourable terms in this. Paul Hanagan has deserted Alejandro, which suggests he may find this company too hot, but Hexagonal has decent form over this trip in Ireland and should be a factor.
