Verdict

It needed all of AP McCoy's persuasive powers to get Winterwood home at Ffos Las in February and the handicapper has put him up a further 3lb for a subsequent narrow defeat at Newbury. Ballyvesey is usually thereabouts but may struggle to follow up a Ffos Las success under a penalty while the current form of the Sue Smith yard is a negative against You Know Yourself, though he's only 3lb higher than when scoring at Carlisle last month. Cool Mission won over C&D on his penultimate start and isn't out of this, despite top weight, but the lightly-raced Haydock winner HUMBIE is certain to improve again now tackling this sort of trip and gets the vote.
