The ones that catch the eye on ratings are Nashaab, True Night, Onlytime Will Tell, Everest, Ionian Spring and Sawwaah, with our vote going to Ionian Spring. A repeat of his best form would give the selection an excellent chance, although he is better judged these days on his claiming race win at Chester in June. That type of effort makes him competitive here to our eyes, and he can go well. Nashaab's Newbury fourth in July stands out as recent form, although he cannot be guaranteed to reproduce it. That said, he can't be guaranteed not to. True Night ruined his chance by bolting before the race last time, so did well to finish fourth and his form from earlier in the summer earns him respect. Much as Onlytime Will Tell bolted up at Epsom last time, he won as he ought to have done and will find this trickier, while Everest returned to Newmarket to score last time, a venue he likes but, clearly in good heart, holds solid claims if repeating the effort away from Suffolk. Finally, Sawwaah comes here in good heart and, even though he has a pound or two to find on ratings, can't be ruled out. Overall, though, we will side with Ionian Spring.
