Verdict
Too Many Chiefs has won twice over the course and distance on heavy going in recent weeks and though up a massive 11lb for his victory a fortnight ago has to be on the shortlist. MAC N CHEESE won a Wetherby handicap in 2015 and returned from almost two years off to gain a very easy victory at Perth for which he was punished with a 17lb hike in the weights. His last two runs have been over fences and was travelling easily when falling at Newcastle so he's handed the vote to return to winning ways. Conquer Gold was staying on when runner-up to Beyondtemptation over 2m4f at Newcastle so a big run from the winner in the previous race will point to her chances. Trongate was well supported when scoring over 2m3f here last month and is staying the extra would have to be considered from 6lb higher.
