Alan Parker's stable continues to be badly out of form so, despite having an obvious chance on the pick of his form, Behavingbadly is probably best watched and preference is for Red Perk who gets the vote over Carriage Ride. The selection stepped up on his reappearance effort when staying on strongly to beat the well-handicapped Be Upstanding at Kelso last week, the pair seven lengths clear, and with the likelihood of further improvement to come has every chance of following up off a 7lb higher mark. The Nicky Richards-trained Carriage Ride lost no caste in defeat behind Falchion over course and distance last time and is entitled to be thereabouts as is former hunter Miss Mattie Ross, who ran well on her return at Newcastle earlier this month and is feasibly well treated. To The Future has claims on his best but, as with Behavingbadly, the form of the Alan Parker stable is of concern and a safer bet looks to be Red Perk.
