        Verdict

        Gworn bids for a hat-trick of course wins off a higher mark having landed a double over 1m2f. Royal Regent wasn’t far behind the latter in third last time but Spes Nostra was well beaten. Finn Class is upped 4lb for winning in soft ground at Thirsk while Dark Devil ended last year with a success at Goodwood and should be sharper for a recent comeback. A winner in Germany, ROYAL SHAHEEN (NAP) finished third over a mile here last time having slipped down the weights since joining Alistair Whillans. He gets the nod to come good again in this.
