Verdict
Eldorado Creek is a knotty problem to unravel as he arrives on the back of a run at Royal Ascot when ninth of 13 in the Chesham Stakes, beaten just under 9l by Churchill. The fact he was thought good enough to contest that Listed contest is interesting and he should be competitive returned to ordinary maiden company. However, AVENTINUS has shaped well on both starts and only failed by a nose to lose his maiden tag at Kempton last month. He stays the trip well and there are less question marks about him than Eldorado Creek. Heir of Excitement, Mister Belvedere and Steel Helmet have all shown enough ability to suggest they could take a hand and Alexander M is the newcomer to watch as he hails from the Mark Johnston yard which has such a strong line to the season's juvenile form.
