A trappy race in which Farne Isle, Birdwatch and Cita Verda are likely to be among the market principals and we will stick with the first named. Farne Isle was bitterly disappointing at Wetherby but Richie McGrath reported that the mare had a breathing problem. She has clearly shown no ill effects at home and with Tom Dreaper taking off a valuable 5lb - she has an obvious formbook chance. Birdwatch is upped in grade following a couple of solid performances at lesser levels. He found very little over 2m4f on a testing surface at Carlisle and should be more at home over todays trip. Cita Verda was a very classy mare on her day. She has had a long absence from the track but the handicapper has given her a chance off this mark. The market is watched accordingly. Merryvale Man broke a long losing run on his last National Hunt start. He was well beaten on a recent run in a banded stakes on the level. He reopposes Timbuktu. Time To Roam is likely to front-run but tends to lose his races through running much too free in the early stages. Farne Isle has obvious questions to answer but has shown enough to recommend her in the past.
