A very modest opener in which Beverley Beau is selected ahead of Mister Arjay and Mystery Pips. Alucica holds claims if relicating his all-weather form on his Turf debut. Beverley Beau holds claims on his best 2006 summer Turf form. Jember Reed seemed to show improvement last time but has now been tried at a range of trips and tries another one today. John O' Groats is a course and distance winner, but that came in 2004 on soft going. Mister Arjay's best run so far has come at this level but on the all-weather; however, lightly raced, he can't be ruled out. Mystery Pips drops in grade and holds very good claims on the best of his efforts of the last 12 months, as does Myttons Pride, who has tumbled in the ratings but, if he has some flint in his lighter - particularly based on his May 2006 course and distance run - then he would hold a good chance. She's Our Beauty has proven that she can compete well at this level, but at Southwell in the main, while Telepathic's latest run still suggEsted glimmers of hope. Tombalina is another that woUld hold claims based on her best 2005/2006 efforts but, overall, in a modest race, we will stick with Beverley Beau.
