James Lambe is represented in the second division of the novices' hurdle with Seraphin, who showed improved form at Newcastle last month, and he has to be respected given the yard's record with runners in this country but LIE FORRIT has solid claims and is preferred ahead of Sirkeel. The last mentioned showed respectable form in a couple of starts in point-to-points before losing no caste in defeat behind Signalman, who runs in the opener, at Kelso in November. He makes more appeal than Peter Monteith's Solis, who fell last time. Tyrrhenian is an interesting newcomer for Nicky Richards but is probably best watched with no form to go on, while Primrose Time is gradually improving and looks to be going the right way but needs to improve again to trouble the judge. Dual bumper winner Lie Forrit made a pleasing start to his hurdling career when chasing home Mr Woods here in November and a reproduction of that form may well suffice.
