There was cut in the ground when SPIRIT OF A NATION won over today's trip at Haydock last month and he can be forgiven his latest poor run in much better company over a longer trip at York. Shane B Kelly's claim allows him to race off a 3lb lower mark than when winning and he gets the vote. Simonside scored over a shorter trip here in June and he has the beating of Chookie Hamilton and Ejteyaaz, while Dark Dune could also figure if handling the slower ground.
