An interesting event with a number of promising individuals none more so than Krack De L'Isle who stepped up on bumper from when making a winning hurdles debut over 2m6f here last month. The son of Kadalko jumped well and revelled in the testing conditions and should confirm placings with the one-paced Wildfield Rufo (beaten eight lengths) under his 6lb penalty. The selection ran respectably over shorter next time but will appreciate the emphasis placed firmly on stamina over today's distance. Bay Magic will have no problems with trip or ground and ran well when runner-up in handicap company over course and distance last time but is more exposed than most and looks vulnerable to up-and-coming types. Mister Friday was still going well when falling three out on his hurdling bow here late last month so shouldn't be discounted while Almire Du Lia is another to consider. The latter may have found conditions too testing behind the selection last time but has claims on his previous effort here in November when runner-up behind a useful yardstick who has won again subsequently.
