      Verdict

      Alabanza has been raised 8lb for winning nicely over 1m2f here last month having placed over today’s shorter trip earlier. Just Sherry went close at Killarney last time though this looks tougher and preference is for SNOWDON. The latter made a winning debut in handicaps with seven-length romp over a mile at Yarmouth and looks to have leading claims, despite a hike in the weights ,with further progress likely. Ventura Gold looks stuck on his current mark but the less-exposed Mystical Mac could go well.
