This is a trappy affair with a fair amount of guesswork required and the three for the shortlist are Onlytime Will Tell, Mystic Man, and Ballyhurry, with preference for the last named. David Nicholls has his string in fine form and Onlytime Will Tell has the assistance of jockeys¿ title favourite Robert Winston. He is sure to have his supporters as he is taking a big drop in grade and must have an outstanding chance. However, his latest run saw him beaten over 40 lengths and it¿s anyone¿s guess how his current form equates. In a decent contest of its type, Mystic Man is asked by Kevin Ryan to concede the weight. He ran respectably in a similar contest at Epsom finishing a close fourth and he is respected, although the weight may take its toll. For the selection however, we turn to Ballyhurry, a winner earlier in the season. Trained locally by Jim Goldie, he ran well in a good class handicap at Musselburgh recently behind H Harrison, who has underlined the strength of the form since. A repeat of that effort may be good enough here and Ballyhurry gets the vote.
