Verdict

Martiloo tries a new trip and races from out of the handicap while the going might be a problem for Captain Redbeard but most of others are proven mud-lovers, though Newton Abbot winner Kayf Adventure is one of only two who have had the benefit of a recent run. Cyrus Darius is unexposed and potentially well treated over fences but PISTOL PARK made steady progress last term and never seems to run a bad race - he shouldn't be far away again. Arctic Gold has yet to prove as effective over fences as over hurdles but still has time on his side so makes more appeal than Ian Duncan's raider No No Mac and the others.
