        Verdict

        Poet's Magic won at Chester in June with VENTURA RASCAL (NAP) behind but the latter went on to win a tougher contest than this at Pontefract last time. This shorter trip should not prove a problem and Kevin Ryan’s charge can go in again. Jump The Gun disappointed at Doncaster having won at the same track before that but Black Friday finished in front of Tommy G at Musselburgh two runs ago, though neither figured. Riot won back in 2019 and debuts for a new yard having slipped down the weights.
