      Verdict

John McConnell sent HEY PRETTY to Fairyhouse on Thursday for his first run on fast going and he obliged with a comfortable victory. He's carrying a 6lb penalty but this looks no tougher and he can complete a quick double. Be Bold had been racing on the all-weather before scoring on ground with some give at Thirsk in April for which he's been raised 4lb. Rebel State gave notice of an imminent victory when runner-up at Musselburgh then he came here for a comfortable success over a mile. He's 5lb higher though still lower than his all-weather mark so looks to have a solid chance of going in again. Motahassen made three appearances for Dermot Weld and was making his handicap debut on his first start for new connections at Thirsk where he started favourite. He didn't come up to expectations but was going on strongly when the race was all over and can do better.
