Better Getalong hasn’t taken to fences and is starting to look a bit long in the tooth with stablemate Blakerigg also having a bit to prove at present. Well Above Par won a valuable handicap at Carlisle in March but has gone up 7lb and has never won around here. Ardera Cross, by comparison, has won on his last three visits and is back in the right grade after a couple of below-par efforts. Relkadam has the form to figure but ran as though ready for a break last time at Sedgefield. Roxboro Road is back over fences seeking a four-timer but has been put up a massive 14lb and that may be too much. MANNOCHMORE (NAP) is fancied to reverse Musselburgh running in March with the latter given he is 17lb better off despite an impressive jumping performance at Kelso last month. First Account wasn’t disgraced returning for a lengthy absence at Newcastle and looks best of the rest.
