PETOMIC doesn't strike one as an obvious candidate to follow up after only scoring by a head at Hamilton last week and carrying a penalty here. But such is the paucity of serious challengers, he's taken to do just that. Crocodile Bay wasn't that far away at Thirsk last time despite finishing fifth but has never won over further than a mile, while Spavento won at Newcastle last month but hasn't figured in four starts off a higher mark since.
