In depth

Verdict

The four at the bottom are out of the handicap including Portstorm, 6lb wrong after a comfortable victory over 2m5f here last month. Runner-up Ugo Du Misselot runs earlier so that result should be monitored. Baby Ticker is also 6lb out of the weights after going up 5lb for a narrow victory here, her third on the track, though her rider's claim takes care of the extra. Big Penny shot up the weights after completing a double at Lingfield and couldn't quite cope on a return visit in testing conditions so the vote goes to ILLEGAL MODEL. An easy winner on heavy ground at Lingfield on his hurdling debut in January, his two recent runs have been in handicaps at this level and he has the scope to go on to better things. Donna's Diamond has a Grade 2 victory to her credit and was runner-up at that level at Haydock in February while Justatenner loves it around here.
