Verdict

Winning bumper The Edgar Wallace ran well on his hurdling debut at Ascot and would start favourite here but was engaged in the 1.05 at Exeter yesterday. Corach Rambler has improved massively between the flags and landed a maiden point at Monksgrange in September while UGO DU MISSELOT made a promising debut for new connections here last month and normal progress can see him go one better. Melanamix landed a point at Dromahane in November and will be better for his debut at Kelso but Tidal Point has never won on the Flat though wouldn't need to be a world-beater to take a hand.
