In depth

Verdict

Though pulled up last time at Sandown, Favorito Buck's, the only course winner in this line-up, is likely to start favourite. Townshend finished sixth in the Kerry National when last seen over fences and has placed over hurdles since joining Nigel Twiston-Davies. Volt Face is 0-12 over the larger obstacles but has only found one too good in three of his last four races while Vivas may have need the run here a couple of weeks ago. We’ll take a chance on the returning PRINCETON ROYALE, who is back in this grade for the first time since completing a double at Fakenham last summer.
