Verdict

Red Power has displayed both sides to his personality in landing both his races to date, but he can land this and secure a three-timer. After winning the Brocklesby, the form of which has worked out well, he misbehaved at Newbury before giving 6lbs and a neck beating to Mack The Knife, who reopposes here on 2lbs better terms. It is, of course, a close call between them but Red Power just gets the nod again. Mac Love's win at Nottingham has been subsequently franked but more will be needed here. Spanish Ace is a likeable type and he ought to win races but maybe not today.
