Isharah and Gavlar are the only previous winners over this trip but the former has done all his winning on the All-weather so far and the latter finished behind Cosmelli at Newcastle with neither threatening. A winner over 1m6f in India, Desert God showed a bit more for Richard Hughes last time, while Mister Manduro also won over that trip at Salisbury in May. Mark Johnston has a good recent record in this but Mister Manduro looks high enough in the weights and UAE KING is the more progressive. He’s upped in class as he bids for a hat-trick but there should be more to come over this longer trip and he gets the nod.
