A cracking looking renewal for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes with multiple Group 1 winners Falbrav and Russian Rhythm plus Godolphin's Dubai Destination all lining up but we take a chance with Soviet Song, who looked on the way back to her best at Longchamp last time. James Fanshawe's filly was entitled to need the run in the Prix du Moulin after a three-month break and she lost no caste in defeat, staying on into fourth place behind Nebraska Tornado. Arguably given too much to do by Oscar Urbina there, Jamie Spencer takes over on the daughter of Marju today and, with the stable continuing in such good form, she gets the vote to reverse earlier form with Russian Rhythm. Sir Michael Stoute's filly has done nothing wrong and completed her third Group 1 success (from three starts) of the season, following earlier wins in the 1,000 Guineas and Coronation Stakes, when landing the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood last time. However, there is a doubt concerning her fitness at present, with reports suggesting that she may have come into season, and until confirmed one way or another she is probably best left alone. Globe-trotting Falbrav has won Group 1 races in Italy, Japan and England at distances between 1m2f and 1m4f and again ran his customary good race when an unlucky second to High Chaparral in the Irish Champion Stakes. He undoubtedly has the class to play a hand in the finish here but with his best form over further represents poor value at the odds. Where Or When has yet to show the same sparkle as last term, while the three-year-old Ikhtyar needs to improve to play a hand in the finish. Dubai Destination has come back better than ever this term with victory in the Queen Anne Stakes the highlight. While he may be on the upgrade, this is tougher than and we would rather side with the consistent Soviet Song, who holds Statue Of Liberty on running last time, at each-way odds.
