Mine and Ratio look to be the two to focus on, with Ratio getting the nod. The former Ian Balding inmate dead-heated in the Wokingham Stakes last time at Ascot over six last time and, given that he has won over a mile, the step up to seven should pose no problems. He has been raised six pounds as a consequence but could well be up to the task. Mine was a very unlucky, fast-finishing runner-up in the Bunbury Cup last time, having previously been placed in a Royal Ascot handicap. He's nicely weighted and it would be no surprise to see him win. He's drawn high and it will be interesting to see on Friday how the draw works out. Factor that into your calculations. Hurricane Floyd and Attache clearly come into the reckoning with Mine on Royal Ascot form, as does Capricho on Royal meeting form with the selection. New Seeker is another who is nicely weighted, while the Irish are represented by man-of-the-moment Dermot Weld's One More Round. However, with a fair draw, number 13, Ratio can bring up a straight hat-trick of wins.
