What is always a competitive affair can go to Capped For Victory, who is selected over Mr Mistral, who is respected but has it all to do at the weights, and Distant Country, who has the right profile for a race of this nature and cannot be ruled out of making the frame at least. The same comments apply to Lygeton Lad, who is as game as they come and will be bearing down on the leaders when many have cried enough. He hails from a stable that have gone close in this in recent times and he is definitely one for each-way players to include in the draft. Mobo Baco also fits that profile as he gets in off a very light weight and has scope for improvement off just a 3lb higher mark than when he won at Warwick at the start of this month. However, Capped For Victory hold the edge in terms of scope, as he will be making only his sixth ever start up to press. His effort in finishing seventh to Gatwick in the Silver Bowl at Haydock in May is as good a piece of form that is on offer and, with sally Eddery taking 5lb off his back, he looks a cracking bet in this company. There should also be plenty to come from Mr Mistral, but as he has been clobbered with a rating of 87 after just two starts, he looks opposable as he bids to concede 8lb to the likes of Capped For Victory, who may have his measure today.
