Verdict

Those drawn high prevailed on the good to firm going in this contest last year but the underfoot conditions are a worry for both the progressive Orazio and Probe, who beat several of these at Newmarket last month including JUAN LES PINS. The latter has hit form since with a recent victory at Nottingham and Mick Appleby’s charge is at his best on today’s surface. Khanjar is another drawn high and first-time headgear may bring about improvement while Bielsa bounced back to form at York last time though Lethal Levi was only a neck behind. Chipstead is back up in trip after scoring on the Knavesmire and is drawn low along with King's Lynn and Dream Composer. Mr Wagyu finished fourth in this last year ahead of Summerghand, First Folio, Apollo One and Fresh but isn't getting any younger.
