There will be plenty cheering on royal runner DARTMOUTH in this. The Queen’s entire is bidding for back-to-back victories in this Group 2 having got the better of Wednesday’s Prince Of Wales’s Stakes winner Highland Reel after a titanic struggle 12 months ago. That was on good to soft going but the five-year-old has also won on much quicker surfaces and confirmed his well-being at York last month. Dal Harraild beat Barsanti at Newmarket last year and got back to winning ways over 1m6f at York. He is still improving but needs to reverse earlier Newbury running with Muntahaa, Chemical Charge and Second Step. Western Hymn was on his best behaviour at Chester last month and My Dream Boat won at this meeting last year and appeared to stay when tried over 1m4f at Newbury. Wings of Desire had form in Group 1 races last year so will be a threat to all if ready to roll on his first start since August. Idaho wasn’t disgraced on his reappearance at Epsom and is another with a touch of class.
