KHAIRAAT (NAP) looks a typical Sir Michael Stoute improver having remained unbeaten since finishing second on debut last year. Jim Crowley attacked from the front on him at Chester on his reappearance and he never looked like being caught. He’s well drawn here if similar tactics are being considered and, still unexposed, is probably a potential pattern race performer running in a handicap. Kidmenever was bought by Godolphin in January and ran a couple of nice races for Charlie Appleby at Meydan but hasn’t raced since February. Central Square is lightly raced for his age and made a satisfactory reappearance at Newmarket. He’s probably been aimed at this and will be hard to keep out of the frame while Elbereth ran well above expectations when second to Somehow at Newmarket and then fourth in the Coronation Cup at Epsom and would have every chance on that form. Snoano has his ground and trip and could also play a part.
