Desert Chief has to be of interest on his reappearance but is likely to be plenty short enough as punters latch on to a Frankie Dettori ridden runner 10 years on from the magnificent seven and a better value bet may lie with the progressive Envision, who is preferred to Granston. The selection has done nothing wrong of late, winning his last five starts. The first three of those were in claimers but Richard Hannon's gelding has now won his last two outings in this grade and may still be ahead of the handicapper. Another Bottle did not get the clearest of runs in the Bunbury Cup when last seen and could be of interest, while Arminius, a stablemate of Envision, is entitled to come on for his run at York last time. Easy Air deserves to win a race of this nature but is probably a shade high in the weights at present; a comment that also applies to the consistent Granston. Envision has done nothing wrong though and is taken to win again.
