Verdict

The form of Khabfair's latest defeat to Fantasy Believer at Newbury has not worked out too well, so despite apparently being well in at the weights, we will side with Blackheath to dispose of that rival, with Onlytime Will Tell the one to chase them home. The selection carries a 3lb penalty for a two-and-a-half length defeat of Tom Tun at Hamilton last time out and is due to go up a further 7lb shortly. Now looks like the time to catch him again, as he goes well over the trip and on the ground and this drop back to Class C company should see him to good effect once again. Khabfair appeared to go well enough at Newbury last time in being beaten three lengths, but that race is not producing winners, and despite being rated 91 by the handicapper, he seems to have taken no chances with the colt, who won on the polytrack last year. Nevertheless he has ability and is respected. Onlytime Will Tell is another sent out by 'Dandy' Nicholls, and he is more than capable of running a big race off this mark. Best over this trip and with some course form to his name, he is another for the short list, but we are happy to go with stablemate Blackheath to produce the goods.
