A small but select field for this fascinating Group one event and all eyes will be on the returning hero George Washington, who is taken to get the better of the much loved Red Evie and Ramonti. Following his short lived love life, George Washington has been given no easy task on his return to the track. However last year's impressive two thousand Guineas winner is reported in top form by the Ballydoyle maestro. The one doubt with this amazing colt was of course his temperament, however Aidan has intimated that the horse is now a lot more relaxed and acting like a four-year-old rather than an excited youngster. What of his rivals. Well Cesare is one that could certainly spoil the party. James Fanshawe's charge absolutely murdered a decent Listed field over course and distance last time out and the form was boosted with the recent success of third home Dunelight. A vctory for Red Evie would be almost as emotional as one for the selection. She got a terrific reception when just getting the better of today's rival Ramonti in the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury. Once again it should be close bewteen them although Frankie is very keen on the chances of the Godolphin runner. Sir Michael Stoute's Jeremy does appear to be held, but there is no better trainer at getting one to peak for this meeting. This is certainly a mouth watering contest and George Washington can once again provide us with an historic moment.
