Verdict

The bottom six in the handicap in this are all carrying more than their allotted weight, though Lovely Surprise looks progressive and beat the disappointing Rive Gauche off level weights in a maiden at Nottingham last month - collateral form gives her the beating of Mothers Finest and Pack Together. The Godolphin pair, Always Smile and Risen Sun, are interesting. The former is still unbeaten after making a winning debut on Turf at Doncaster while the latter is also unexposed. Touchline looks to be the pick of the two royal runners and is preferred to the returning Kodiva and Sulaalaat, who tries a new trip. Osaila was seventh in the 1000 Guineas, a long way ahead of JELLICLE BALL, but John Gosden's filly had her excuses that day. She was left at the start and could never get competitive and was eased in the closing stages. Second in the Fred Darling on her reappearance, she was placed behind subsequent Oaks third Lady Of Dubai at Goodwood subsequently and is back over her best trip today. Realtra also has a bit of class and looks best of the rest.
