Ryan Moore is on board MARKSMANSHIP for Aidan O'Brien as Sir Michael Stoute's Tazahum is owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum and Richard Hills, who rode him to victory in a Listed race at Sandown, is the owner's retained rider. Marksmanship will need to improve massively from beating Notable Graduate in a Curragh maiden but there is every prospect of him doing so and entries in every major middle-distance race this summer suggest he's very highly regarded. After an excellent third to Carlton House in the Dante, Pisco Sour found Epsom's Derby distance and gradients too much to handle and he should be better off back in more suitable company. The very progressive Alkimos is taking the same Doncaster route as that of his stable companion Afsare, who won this last year, and he's very much respected, as are the Godolphin entries. Laajooj, who landed a Listed contest at Newmarket despite a high head carriage, and Hunter's Light, also successful at HQ last month, both look progressive types.
