A rather strange ending to proceedings, not to mention a punting minefield. However, this is a specialist trip and THE CONFESSOR has produced excellent efforts the last twice at this distance and remains on a feasible mark. Unlike some of his opponents, he arrives here fresh after just four outings this term and is a hopeful selection. Valencha is another expert at this trip but is up 5lb for a recent Epsom success, although the Morrison yard have a history of doing well in highly competitive handicaps. Crown Counsel has his eighteenth run of the year but should appreciate the drop in trip, whilst Pearl Ice is a fascinating contender for the Prescott yard off his lowly weight after being absent for a year. Rulesn'regulations and Mia's Boy are just two others meriting respect in a wide-open affair.
