The Cecil juggernaut cranks into action with Vita Nova, who houses the twin virtues of being progressive and highly reliable. Only a slipped saddle prevented a Lancashire Oaks success, whilst her latest effort when just denied in the Yorkshire Oaks by dual Classic winner, Blue Bunting, sets a good standard. She must go well, but FERDOOS just got the better of the Cecil charge earlier in the campaign and has not been seen since. She remains open to any amount of improvement after just the four runs and looks a win and place option. Dancing Rain showed her pillar-to-post Oaks success at Epsom was no flash in the pan when scoring untroubled in Germany last time and could be hard to pass if allowed her own way up front. Banimpire has been an absolute credit to the Bolger team and another brave effort is anticipated, whilst Crystal Capella, slightly below par this term, would be be a threat if rediscovering her best. Gertrude Bell and Meeznah cannot be discounted in an open contest.
