Jeremy Gask has his runners in fine fettle and ONE WAY OR ANOTHER can follow-up his recent Haydock win from a 3lb higher mark, while Motafarred and Sarah Park are others short-listed. The selection responded well when tried on a sound surface for the first time in England, sticking on with a very good attitude to hold off Charlie Tipple over the same trip as today's. Of course the extra weight won't make this any easier, but the manner of his win suggested he can pull out more and we hope for that here. Connections of Motafarred will be hoping for going as fast as the ground staff will allow as the gelding is at his best when it is firm. Micky Hammond's seven-year-old is still 6lbs higher than his most recent win, but ran a blinder from the same rating in the Carlisle Bell last time and won't be far away. Sarah Park has been well placed by Brian Meehan to win three of her 12 starts, and this is her optimum trip. She may just be a shade high in the weights to win, and she looks to prefer good ground or softer, so she may have to wait for other days. The fly-in-the-ointment in this could be Isphahan, who is now back on a winning mark and races over his optimum trip, while any ground seems to be fine. With the stable firing he is respected. Dubai's Touch is very interesting with headgear applied, Spring Goddess needs a drop in the weights, while Stevie Thunder represents a red hot stable and is not discounted. Intriguing in nature and One Way Or Another we think Jeremy Gask's runner might just nick it.
