In depth

Verdict

Group One Power placed yet again when third at Chester ahead of Sam Cooke and Restorer but the latter pair failed to get a clear run in the closing stages and there’s little between that trio. Hms President has something to prove over this far but Graphite ran well over today’s trip at Newmarket last time. There was cut in the ground when Spanish Kiss completed an earlier double and C’EST NO MOUR made a winning reappearance over 1m6f at Goodwood. He’s subsequently gone close again off today’s mark and the drop back down in distance will suit.
