Verdict

Bertie's Wish has been raised 5lb for winning a handicap at Wolverhampton but the majority go handicapping for the time. My Swallow finished runner-up over 7f at Newcastle and Orgetorix placed at Kempton when last in action. But INVINCIBLE SWAGGER was beaten less than a length over today’s trip at Thirsk on his return from a lay-off and Roger Varian’s colt should be thereabouts at the finish. The Attorney and Year Of The Dragon are other novice winners but Painless Potter has yet to match last season’s best form in a couple of maiden outings this year and has something to prove now.
