    Verdict

    STOWELL appeared to finish full of running when beaten a head by stablemate and favourite Polling Day in a controversial race at Lingfield. He’ll be fancied to open his account in this though both of today’s rivals have shown ability. Going Gone came up against a subsequent handicap winner when runner-up at Bath on his reappearance while Geremia never threatened the winner when second at Haydock but finished clear of the others.
