      Verdict

      Last year’s shock winner of the St Leger, Harbour Law, returns to action under a penalty and may struggle giving weight away to PALLASATOR. The latter made a winning reappearance in a Group 3 at Sandown last term and Sir Mark Prescott’s charge went close in both the Goodwood Cup and the Lonsdale Cup at York subsequently. He is closely matched on bits of form with Nearly Caught, who landed a Group 2 in France last season , but has the beating of his stable companions Vent De Force and Sweet Selection. Battersea has a bit to find with the selection on collateral form but Maleficent Queen is interesting taking a further step up in distance after placing over 1m6f last month.
